The Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) Round 1 counselling merit list for 2026 has been officially released. The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) made the announcement on August 5, allowing students to access the seat allotment list through the designated portal at lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in. This marks a significant step for candidates seeking admission into law programs in the state, as the merit list is crucial for the next phase of the counselling process.
Students who registered for the TS LAWCET 2026 counselling can now check their seat allotment status using their registration details. Those whose names appear on the Round 1 merit list are required to report to their assigned colleges for physical document verification between August 6 and August 12. This verification process is essential for confirming their admission into either the three-year or five-year LLB programs offered by participating law colleges across Telangana.
The TS LAWCET Round 1 seat allotment results have been published separately for the three-year and five-year LLB admissions. Candidates can download the merit list in PDF format exclusively from the TGCHE Law admission portal. Following the release of the seat allotment list, students must confirm their acceptance of the allotted seat and ensure they bring their original documents and tuition fee receipts for verification at the college.
The merit list has been compiled based on candidates' ranks in the TS LAWCET exam, as well as their college preferences indicated during the web options exercise. Additionally, the list takes into account reservation policies and local area status, which can influence the final college placements. The authority has established a clear tie-breaking rule to resolve instances where multiple candidates achieve the same score, ensuring a fair selection process.
Looking ahead, the TGCHE is expected to announce the dates for Phase II counselling soon. Students are encouraged to stay informed about the latest updates regarding admission processes, including exam results, schedules, and other educational news. As the admission process progresses, candidates are reminded to adhere to all deadlines and requirements to secure their placements in the desired law programs.
