This counselling process is crucial as it will facilitate the admission of candidates into 85% of the state quota seats available in various medical programs, including MBBS, BDS, and BAMS, across Uttar Pradesh's medical colleges. Interested candidates will need to complete the registration process on the official website, upneet.gov.in, to participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling.The registration for the UP NEET UG 2026 counselling is anticipated to commence in August. Before the registration begins, the UP NEET UG seat matrix for 2026 will be released, providing candidates with essential information regarding the number of seats available in each participating institution. The counselling process typically consists of four to five rounds, including Mop Up and Stray Vacancy rounds, ensuring that all eligible candidates have the opportunity to secure a seat in their desired medical program.The UP NEET UG counselling process is structured into six stages, starting with the registration and concluding with the reporting to the assigned college. While all stages are conducted online, the final reporting stage requires candidates to be present at the respective institutions. The detailed counselling steps will be outlined once the schedule is officially released, allowing candidates to prepare accordingly.In terms of fees, the UP NEET counselling fee for 2026 will be announced shortly. Last year, candidates were required to pay a registration fee of INR 2,000, along with a refundable security deposit that varied depending on the type of college. For government medical and dental colleges, the security deposit was INR 30,000, while private dental colleges required INR 1 lakh, and private medical colleges demanded INR 2 lakh.The NEET counselling seat matrix is a critical document that outlines the number of seats available across various participating institutes for each course. This matrix is released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) prior to the counselling process and is categorized by institute type, including Deemed universities and AIIMS. For the previous year's counselling, the MCC provided a primary seat matrix for Round 1, followed by updates in subsequent rounds to reflect newly added seats and vacancies.
