The Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is poised to announce the results for the third round of seat allotment for UPTAC 2026 on July 30. This information will be available on the official counselling portal, uptac.samarth.edu.in. The allotment process is crucial for candidates seeking admission, as it will determine their placement based on various factors including their JEE Main 2026 rank, category, reservation criteria, seat availability, and the preferences they indicated during the counselling process.
Candidates who have successfully registered for UPTAC 2026, completed document verification, and filled out their choices will be able to access their Round 3 allotment status by logging in with their registration number or registered email. It is essential for those who are allotted a seat to complete the necessary admission formalities within the designated timeframe to secure their placement.
Upon receiving their allotment, candidates must decide whether to accept their assigned seat by paying the required fee and selecting either the "Freeze" or "Float" option. Choosing "Freeze" confirms their seat and disqualifies them from further rounds of counselling, while selecting "Float" allows them to remain in contention for potential upgrades in Round 4.
For those who do not receive a seat in Round 3 or are seeking a better option, participation in subsequent counselling rounds will be available according to the revised UPTAC 2026 schedule. Important dates to note include the online willingness period for seat acceptance from August 1 to August 2, and the payment of the seat confirmation fee during the same timeframe.
Candidates who confirm their seats must report to their respective colleges between August 4 and August 7. It is mandatory for them to present their original documents and pay the institute fees in person. Following this reporting period, candidates may also have the opportunity for internal sliding based on their previous choices, with any remaining vacant seats subsequently opened for new allotments in the Open Category.
