The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), has announced that the admission process for their prestigious joint PhD programme (July 2025 round) has commenced. It has been stated that the programme will begin in July 2025, with the deadline for applications set for 18th March 2025. It has been highlighted that the programme, which currently has over 100 enrolled students, provides a distinctive academic experience, offering a higher fellowship amount compared to regular domestic programmes. Exceptional candidates from diverse backgrounds, including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities, and social sciences, have been invited to apply. PhD candidates are expected to spend one year at UQ’s Brisbane campus and three years at IIT Delhi, enabling them to gain valuable international research exposure. It has also been confirmed that all successful applicants will be awarded a scholarship for the duration of their candidature, extending up to a maximum of four years, provided they maintain a full-time study load.
