Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has officially opened the registration window for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2027. Prospective students aiming to secure admission into the university's BTech programmes are invited to submit their applications through the official VIT portal. The application process, which began on October 20, 2026, will remain open for candidates until the deadline of March 31, 2027.

Following the conclusion of the registration period, the university is scheduled to conduct the entrance examination between April 27 and May 2, 2027. Applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions well before the March deadline to ensure their participation in the upcoming admission cycle.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Guidelines

To be eligible for the VITEEE 2027, applicants must be Resident Indian Nationals, NRIs, or OCI cardholders. A key academic requirement is that candidates must have completed or be currently appearing for their Class XII (HSC) examinations in 2025, 2026, or 2027. The university specifies that students who passed their qualifying examination in 2024 or earlier are not eligible to apply for this year's entrance test. Furthermore, all qualifying education must have been completed through a regular or full-time mode from a recognised educational board.

The application process requires candidates to register on the official website using a valid email address and mobile number. Once registered, applicants must log in to provide personal details, select their preferred test cities, and enter their educational qualifications, including their choice of subject streams—either MPCEA or BPCEA. The process also involves uploading a real-time photograph, a signature, and valid identification documents such as an Aadhar card, Voter ID, PAN card, or Ration card.

Important Fee Information and Submission Tips

For the 2027 academic session, VIT University has set the registration fee at INR 1450. This payment can be processed via net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI. It is important for applicants to note that this fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Once the payment is completed and the form is submitted, candidates are advised to download a copy of the application for their personal records.

University officials have issued a reminder that there is no facility for application corrections once the form has been submitted. Consequently, students are urged to verify all entered information, including academic records and personal details, for accuracy before finalising their application. After the submission process is complete, candidates should monitor the official portal for further updates regarding the examination schedule and admit card release.
