The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially announced a revision to its Higher Secondary Semester III examination schedule for 2027. The adjustment specifically concerns the vocational subject papers, which have been moved to a new date to avoid a conflict with the observance of Karam Puja.

According to the updated notification from the board, the vocational examinations are now scheduled to take place on October 13, 2026. These papers were originally slated for September 22, 2026. The board has confirmed that the examination will be conducted in the afternoon session, running from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, providing students with a one-hour duration to complete the paper.

Details of the Revised Vocational Schedule

The rescheduling applies to all vocational subjects offered under the WBCHSE curriculum. This includes a wide range of disciplines such as Health Care, Automobile, Security, IT and ITES, Electronics, Plumbing, Construction, Beauty and Wellness, Power, Food Processing, Telecom, Organised Retailing, Tourism and Hospitality, Apparel, Agriculture (AGLV), and Banking Financial Service and Insurance.

While this specific change has been implemented, the remainder of the Semester III examination calendar remains unchanged. The examinations are set to commence on September 21, 2026, and will conclude on October 14, 2026. For the majority of the non-vocational subjects, the examinations are scheduled for the morning session, running from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with a total duration of one hour and 30 minutes.

Important Examination Context

The board has maintained that the overall structure of the Semester III exams remains consistent with its previous announcements, with the exception of the vocational paper shift. Students are advised to note that the council reserves the right to modify the examination schedule further if circumstances require such action. Any future updates or changes to the routine will be communicated by the board to the students in advance.

Candidates appearing for the 2027 Semester III examinations are encouraged to verify their specific subject timings against the official routine. As the examination period spans from late September through mid-October, students should ensure they are prepared for the specific time slots assigned to their respective papers, particularly noting the difference between the morning sessions for general subjects and the afternoon session now designated for vocational subjects on October 13.
