The deadline for submitting the XAT 2027 application form is December 6, 2026. Officials have encouraged candidates to finalize their submissions well before the closing date to avoid potential technical issues and to secure their preferred examination city, as test centre allocation is managed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Process and Examination Details

To register for the examination, candidates must visit the official portal and select the registration option to provide essential details, including their name, email address, and mobile number. Once the initial verification is complete, applicants will receive login credentials to access the full application form. The process requires candidates to input their academic history, professional experience, and preferred programme choices. Applicants may select up to six test cities for their examination centre.

The registration fee for XAT 2027 is set at INR 2,300. Candidates intending to apply for specific XLRI programmes must pay an additional fee of INR 200 for each programme selected. It is important to note that specific fee structures also apply to candidates utilizing GMAT or GRE scores, as well as for NRI, foreign, PIO, and OCI applicants. After uploading the necessary photograph and signature and completing the payment, candidates should download the confirmation page for their records.

Important Dates and Institutional Requirements

Following the conclusion of the registration period, the admit card for the examination is tentatively scheduled for release on December 20, 2026. The XAT 2027 examination is currently slated to take place on January 3, 2027. The test will evaluate candidates across several key areas, including Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Knowledge.

Candidates should be aware that registering for the XAT does not serve as a universal application for all participating institutions.
