The College of Art, Delhi University, often referred to as CoA DU, is an Art and Creative College situated in New Delhi, India. Founded in 1942, the College is a part of the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts (FMFA) under Delhi University (DU) and operates under the Government of NCT, New Delhi. It provides a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) in Visual Art (Creative and Applied) and a Master of Fine Art (MFA) in various specializations at both UG and PG levels. The College of Art, Delhi University primarily emphasizes studio practicals, prescribed theory subjects, and research in chosen fields. It also offers both programs to foster a connection between students and the ever-evolving industry of Arts and Creativity. Additionally, it incorporates extensive student-research development projects, workshops, educational study tours, illustrated lectures/demonstrations by guest speakers, and more across all Fine Arts departments to enhance students' learning experiences and future success.
College of Art Delhi University Admission 2024: Eligibility & Selection
The admission process for College of Art Delhi University in 2022 will be conducted exclusively online. Admission to both programs is based on entrance exams. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, admission to the BFA program for the academic session 2023 will be determined by merit (based on Class 12 marks) and scores from the College of Art Aptitude Test (general knowledge and Fine Arts) conducted online. Candidates are required to register on the centralized admission portal available on the official Delhi University website. The application process for College of Art DU commences in April each year. Final admission to a program is contingent upon approval from the College after compiling a list of students who have passed the entrance exam.
UG Courses
- Admission to the College of Art BFA program is based on the scores achieved in the College of Art Aptitude Test (CoAAT) administered by the University of Delhi.
- Students who have completed Class 12 or an equivalent to the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) are eligible to apply for the BFA program.
- A 5% concession is granted to candidates who have studied subjects such as Graphic Design, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, or Applied Art in Class 12.
- The selection of students is determined by the cut-off lists published by Delhi University.
PG Courses
- The final selection for the MFA program is based on the portfolio of work, a viva, and CoAAT, all conducted by the College.
- Candidates must hold a degree in the relevant field to be eligible for the MFA program.
