Who all are eligible for LLB at Government Law College, Churchgate?
The eligibility criteria for admission to the 3-year LLB programme at Government Law College (GLC), Churchgate, Mumbai is as follows :-
1. Educational Qualification: -
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any stream (BA, BCom, BSc, etc.) recognised by UGC and have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
2. Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply subject to submission of necessary documents before admission confirmation.
3. There is no age restriction but minimum qualification needs to be fulfilled.
4. Candidates appearing for the final year degree exams can apply but their admission will be provisional subject to meeting the above criteria.
5. International students can also apply provided their foreign degree is recognised as equivalent to an Indian degree.
6. Most importantly, candidates have to take the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and secure the cutoff percentile and ranks for allotment at GLC Mumbai.
In summary, anyone having a UGC recognised bachelor's degree in any stream with 50% aggregate marks and qualifying in CLAT exam is eligible to apply for admission to GLC Churchgate's LLB program. Meeting just the eligibility may not guarantee admission due to very high competition .
