Founded in 1996 as GEIT Graphic Era Institute of Technology (GEIT), the institute was granted deemed-to-be-university status by the UGC in 2008, with approval from the Ministry of Human Resource Development. GEU has achieved an A+ accreditation from NAAC and ranks 55th among the top 100 universities in the country.
