HIMT Chennai offers a variety of undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs across multiple specializations. These programs include disciplines in Marine Science, Engineering, and Technology at both pre-sea and post-sea levels. The length of each program varies based on its curriculum. Admission to BTech and BSc programs is based on candidates' ranks in IMUCET, while other programs require HIMT to conduct an entrance examination. Candidates who succeed in the respective exams will then proceed to an interview and medical examination for final selection.
The College provides five UG courses with varying durations, from short to long-term. Each course also has an age requirement. Admission to BTech and BSc is contingent upon a candidate's performance in IMUCET. For the remaining UG courses, HIMT College administers an entrance exam for admissions. In addition to meeting the minimum eligibility criteria, candidates must also satisfy the medical requirements set by the DGS.
