Step 1: IIST Online Application Process 2024
To apply for courses at IIST, aspirants need to go through a completely online process. Before applying, it's important to check the required qualifications for the course you wish to apply for. Eligible students can fill out the application form on the official IIST website (http://admission.iist.ac.in). However, candidates must remember to pay the application fee for each course, which varies based on category.
Step 2: IIST Selection
IIST prepares an admission rank list based on the candidate's performance in the qualifying exam. For BTech, JEE (Advanced) scores are considered subject to satisfying minimum marks. For PG, candidates with a valid GATE score and marks obtained in written tests/interviews are selected. Candidates in the admission rank list need to fill their branch preferences during registration.
Step 3: IIST Seat allotment and Acceptance round
The institute released the seat allotment/ acceptance rounds on the website. Seat allocations are done based on merit as per the preferences filled in by the candidates. Candidates must accept the seat by paying the first-semester fee. Once the fee is paid, candidates must upload all the required documents.
