JNU Admission 2025: Eligibility & Selection Criteria

In addition to CUET-UG, the university also considers JEE Main scores for BTech admissions. Admission to the JNU MBA program is based on the CAT score, which is conducted by IIMs. It also accepts CUET-PG scores for MA, MSc, MCA, MPH, MTech, Post Graduate Diploma, and Advanced Diploma courses. For MSc in Biotechnology and MSc in Computational Biology, admission will be based on GAT-B scores.

Steps for the JNU Admission Process 2025

The JNU admission process is based on entrance exams. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is conducted through CUET-UG and CUET-PG, respectively, at JNU. Download the JNU admit card to participate in the JNU CUET UG and JNU CUET PG tests. For BTech and MBA courses, scores from national-level exams such as JEE Main and CAT are also accepted. The selection criteria differ from one course to another. Details about each stage of the admission process are provided below:

STEP 1: JNU Application Process 2025

The first step in the JNU course admission process is online registration. Eligible candidates can apply through the official JNU website (jnu.ac.in). Candidates applying for courses through CUET should have selected JNU as a preference during the CUET application process. Additionally, aspirants should stay updated with important dates to avoid missing the JNU application deadline.

STEP 2: Selection Rounds/Release of Selection List

After the application process concludes, candidates are shortlisted based on their respective entrance exam scores (for MBA & BTech). These shortlisted candidates must participate in selection rounds, such as group discussions and personal interviews, after which a final list is published. For admission through CUET, the university will release a merit list or cutoff.

STEP 3: Counselling

Selected candidates must participate in the JNU counselling for course admission (except for MBA). During counselling, verification and seat allotment are conducted.

What is the JNU CUET Counselling Process 2025?

Candidates who appeared for CUET-UG can apply for JNU UG & Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses. Some of the courses for which CUET scores are accepted include BA (H) in Foreign Languages, the BSc-MSc integrated course in Ayurveda, and COP programs. Admission is granted to the JNU School of Language, Literature & Cultural Studies and the School of Sanskrit & Indic Studies. Aspirants must meet course-specific eligibility criteria. Selection is based on CUET scores and deprivation points. The steps involved in the JNU admission process through CUET are outlined below:

STEP 1: Visit the official JNU website (jnu.ac.in) to register and create login credentials.
