KAU - Kerala Agricultural University

Situated in Thrissur, Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is a state-level autonomous institution that provides seven UGC-approved programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. The University is fully committed to delivering high-quality education aimed at the sustainable development of the state's agriculture. At present, the University comprises seven colleges, 15 Research Stations, and 16 Research & Extension Units across various faculties, including Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Engineering, and Forestry. Additionally, there is an academy focused on Climate Change Adaptation and an institute dedicated to Agricultural Technology operating under KAU.

KAU Admission 2024: Eligibility & Selection

KAU provides seven programs with diverse specializations in Agricultural Science, Engineering, and Management. The University allocates seats for SC/ST candidates and offers relaxation in minimum eligibility criteria for all courses in accordance with the regulations established by the Kerala government. Below is an overview with key facts regarding UG, PG, and PhD admissions:

• KAU UG admission is determined by the scores achieved by eligible candidates in KEAM, which is conducted by the Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations (CEE).
• To gain admission to the PG programs offered by KAU, candidates must pass an in-house written test followed by a Personal Interview (PI) round organized by the University.
• For admission to the MBA program, candidates with a valid KMAT/CAT/MAT/CMAT score are admitted based on a Group Discussion (GD) and PI round.
• Applicants seeking PhD admission are shortlisted based on their performance in the previous qualifying degree examination, followed by a PI round conducted by KAU.
