About Khallikote University Admission Process

Khallikote University provides seven postgraduate programs, including MSc in Biosciences and Bioinformatics, MSc in Biotechnology, MA/MSc in Natural Resources Management and Geoinformatics, MA in Library and Information Science, MBA in Business Economics, MBA in Travel and Tourism Management, and MA in Mass Communication and Media Technology, across six departments: the Department of Bioscience and Bioinformatics, the Department of Natural Resources Management and Geoinformatics, the Department of Library and Information Science, the Department of Economics and Management, the Department of Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management, and the Department of Mass Communication and Media Technology. Admission to all courses at Khallikote University Berhampur is based on entrance exams.

For admission to the DBT-sponsored MSc in Biotechnology program, students must qualify for GAT-B (formerly JNUCEEB), while applicants for the other six programs need to qualify for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) and the Odisha State Universities Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), Odisha. For the MBA programs, OJEE/CAT/MAT scores are also considered if there are vacant seats. The university additionally offers full-time PhD programs in Biosciences/Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Geoinformatics, Economics, Management, Commerce, and Library and Information Science.

Note: The total fee is sourced from the Khallikote University Prospectus 2020-21. It encompasses the one-time fee (to be paid during admission), semester fees converted into an annual fee (based on all courses being two-year/four-semester programs), refundable caution money, and medical fees, which include first-aid and emergency consultancy only. An examination repeat fee of INR 250 per paper will be added to the prescribed examination fees for students who default at the time of form filling/re-registration.

If entrance marks are also identical, then career marks in graduation examination (+3) and then +2 marks will be considered for deciding rank, respectively.
