Founded in 1973 by the Government of Uttarakhand, Kumaun University is situated in Nainital, Uttarakhand. The university spans 160 acres and features three campuses located in Almora, Nainital, and Bhimtal. Kumaun University is recognized by the UGC and has received an ‘A’ Grade accreditation from the NAAC. With over 65 affiliated colleges, it was ranked 53 in the University category by The Week in 2020. The university provides diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and certificate programs across various fields, including Arts, Commerce, Science, Management, Education, Technology, Visual Art, Law, and Agriculture. This institution has launched a new center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology aimed at enhancing academic and technological research and development.
