National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand

Founded in 2009, the National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NITUK) is situated along the banks of the Alaknanda River in Srinagar (Garhwal), Uttarakhand. NIT Uttarakhand was created under an Act of Parliament by the Ministry of Education (Unilist Mantralaya) and is recognized as one of the 31 institutes of national significance. It operates as a Public Technical University and has achieved a rank between 101-150 in the NIRF 2024 Rankings for engineering, competing against over 1500 participating institutes in India. Additionally, NITUK has secured the 33rd position in the Engineering category in India's Best Colleges 2024 Ranking conducted by the Media Group.

NIT Uttarakhand has established multiple MoUs at both National and International levels with various universities. Nationally, it has agreements with institutions such as IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Delhi, IIT Ropar, MNIT Jaipur, and HNB Garhwal University, among others. Internationally, it has signed MoUs with Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary and National Formosa University in Taiwan.

NIT Uttarakhand provides full-time BTech and MTech programs at both UG and PG levels in fields such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.
