NIT Calicut - National Institute of Technology

The National Institute of Technology, Calicut is recognized as one of the premier Architecture institutes in India. Established in 1961, NIT Calicut is among the oldest NITs in the country and is classified as one of the 31 institutions of National Importance. According to the NIRF 2024 rankings, the institute holds the 3rd position in the 'Architecture and Planning' category and the 25th position in the 'Engineering' category. Additionally, NIT Calicut has received rankings from various international organizations, being placed 204th in the 'Southern Asia University' category and 651-700 in the 'Asia University' category by the QS World University Rankings 2024.

The Engineering Institute comprises 15 departments, offering programs such as BTech, BArch, MTech, MBA, MPlan, MS, and PhD. Among these, BTech is the most sought-after program at NIT Calicut.
