The Bar Council of India (BCI) has officially announced the dispatch status of the Certificate of Practice (COP) for candidates who successfully qualified for the AIBE XXI examination. According to the latest notification, the certificates for eligible candidates have been processed, printed, and sent to their respective State Bar Councils for distribution.

This initial phase of distribution specifically covers candidates who completed the necessary step of uploading their Enrolment Certificates on or before the July 30, 2026, deadline. These individuals are now advised to reach out to their local State Bar Councils to inquire about the specific procedures and timelines for collecting their documents.

Collection Procedures and Second Batch Processing

As the collection process for the Certificate of Practice can differ significantly between regions, the BCI has directed candidates to coordinate directly with their respective State Bar Councils. Each council manages its own distribution protocols, and candidates should confirm the availability of their documents before visiting their local offices.

For candidates who missed the initial July 30 deadline, the BCI has provided a pathway for receiving their certificates. Those who uploaded their Enrolment Certificates after July 30, 2026, and up to September 30, 2026, have been designated for the second lot of processing. However, the issuance of these certificates is contingent upon the successful verification of the submitted documents. The BCI has clarified that the dispatch for this second group will only commence once the verification process is fully completed.

Candidates awaiting their certificates are encouraged to monitor the official AIBE portal regularly for further announcements regarding the status of the second batch. While those in the first group should focus on contacting their State Bar Councils for collection, those in the second group are advised to wait for official updates confirming that their documents have cleared the verification stage.
