The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the results for the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination shortly. Candidates who appeared for the papers in English, Commerce, and Sociology are currently awaiting their final scores, which will be published on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
The re-examination was necessitated following reported issues with the question papers during the original June session. To address these concerns, the NTA conducted the re-test for English and Commerce on September 9, 2026, followed by the Sociology paper on September 10, 2026. With the provisional answer keys and recorded responses already released, the agency is currently finalizing the results after reviewing candidate objections.
Once the results are officially declared, candidates will be able to access their scorecards by visiting the official NTA portal. To view their qualifying status, students will need to log in using their application number along with their password or date of birth. The NTA has advised candidates to monitor the official website regularly for the final announcement, as no specific date or time for the result publication has been confirmed yet.
In addition to the pending June re-exam results, the NTA has provided clarity on the upcoming academic cycle. According to the tentative examination calendar for December 2026 through March 2027, the next UGC NET session is scheduled to take place from December 14 to December 19, 2026. The agency has also designated December 20 and 21 as buffer dates to accommodate any necessary adjustments.
While these dates are currently set, the NTA has noted that the schedule remains tentative and subject to change based on administrative, academic, or logistical requirements. Further details regarding the subject-wise timetable, the official application process, and other relevant examination guidelines will be released by the NTA in subsequent notifications. Candidates are encouraged to rely exclusively on official NTA communications for accurate updates regarding their examination status and future schedules.
