AIMA MAT September 2026: Registration Deadlines Approaching for PBT and CBT Modes

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has reminded MBA aspirants that the registration window for the September 2026 Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is drawing to a close. Candidates intending to participate in the upcoming entrance examination must complete their application process online through the official AIMA portal to ensure their eligibility for the test.

The examination is scheduled to be conducted in two distinct formats: the Paper-Based Test (PBT) and the Computer-Based Test (CBT). With the deadlines for these modes approaching, prospective students are encouraged to finalize their submissions promptly to avoid any last-minute technical issues or administrative delays.

Key Registration Deadlines and Examination Schedule

The registration timelines for the two testing modes are distinct. For candidates opting for the Paper-Based Test (PBT), the final date to submit the application form is September 7, 2026. Those who prefer the Computer-Based Test (CBT) have until September 14, 2026, to complete their registration. Following the registration phase, the admit cards for the PBT are scheduled for release on September 10, 2026, while the CBT admit cards will be issued on September 17, 2026.

The examinations themselves are slated for later in the month. The PBT is set to take place on September 13, 2026, followed by the CBT on September 20, 2026. During the application process, candidates are required to select their preferred mode of examination and their desired test city.

Application Procedures and Fee Structure

The application process is conducted exclusively online. For the September 2026 session, the examination fee is set at INR 2300. Candidates who wish to appear for the MAT in both the PBT and CBT modes are required to pay a total fee of INR 4000. The application procedure remains consistent for both testing formats.

Candidates who have previously registered for a MAT session are not required to create a new account. These returning users can access the portal using their existing credentials to complete the application form for the September 2026 session. New applicants must follow the standard registration steps provided on the official AIMA website to generate their login details and proceed with the application.
