The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is preparing to initiate the second phase of the AP LAWCET 2026 counselling process. While the official schedule remains pending, students seeking admission into 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM courses are advised to prepare their documentation and monitor the official portal at cap.apcfss.in for the forthcoming notification. This second round serves as a critical opportunity for law aspirants to secure seats across participating institutions in the state.

Following the conclusion of Phase 1 reporting on October 13, 2026, the upcoming phase is designed to accommodate a diverse group of applicants. Participation is open to candidates who were not allotted seats in the initial round, those who did not register during the first phase, and individuals seeking to upgrade their current seat allotment. Furthermore, students who have already secured a seat in Phase 1 are eligible to participate, though they are encouraged to carefully consider their options before proceeding, as web options submitted during the first phase will not carry over to this round.

Eligibility, Documentation, and Registration Procedures

To participate in the Phase 2 counselling process, candidates must have successfully qualified in the AP LAWCET 2026 examination. The registration process requires the payment of a non-refundable processing fee, which is set at INR 1,050 for OC and BC candidates, and INR 550 for SC, ST, and PH category applicants. All payments must be completed through the online portal as part of the registration formalities.

A critical component of the admission process is the online verification of documents. Candidates are required to upload clear, scanned copies of their academic records, caste certificates, and proof of local residence. Regarding residency status, applicants are generally not required to provide a traditional domicile certificate if they possess study or bonafide certificates covering the preceding seven years without interruption. However, those who have not pursued their education within an Andhra Pradesh-based institution during this period will be required to submit a formal domicile certificate.

Once the registration and document verification stages are complete, the seat allotment will be determined based on the candidate's merit rank and the web options submitted. It is essential for applicants to exercise caution when selecting their preferred colleges, as the allotment is strictly tied to the choices provided and the specific cutoff marks accepted by each institution. Upon successful allotment, candidates will receive an official seat allotment letter, which is issued only after the admission fee has been paid. Following the receipt of this letter, students must complete all necessary administrative and documentation formalities to finalize their enrollment. APSCHE maintains designated helpline centres to assist with the verification process and ensure that all eligibility criteria are met, as failure to satisfy these requirements may result in the cancellation of an allotted seat.
