The Commissionerate of Higher Education has officially released the counselling schedule for the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) 2026. Candidates who have qualified through AP PGECET, as well as those who hold valid GATE or GPAT scores, are eligible to participate in the admission process for MTech, MPharm, and PharmD programs.

The online registration process, which includes the payment of the processing fee, is set to commence on September 16, 2026. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the official website at cap.apcfss.in to access the complete schedule and initiate their applications. The authority has confirmed that any seats remaining after the initial allotment to GATE and GPAT qualified candidates will be made available to those who qualified through the AP PGECET exam.

AP PGECET 2026 Counselling Schedule and Key Dates

Following the start of registration on September 16, the window for fee payment and application will remain open until September 21, 2026. Once registered, candidates will undergo an online verification of their uploaded certificates at designated Help Line centers, a process scheduled to take place between September 17 and September 22, 2026.

The web-option entry phase, where candidates select their preferred colleges and courses, is slated for September 18 through September 24, 2026. Students will have a dedicated window on September 25 to make any necessary changes to their submitted web options. The final seat allotment results are scheduled to be released on September 29, 2026. Following the allotment, candidates are required to complete the self-joining and reporting process at their assigned colleges between September 30 and October 3, 2026, with classes officially commencing on September 30.

Required Documentation and Fee Categories

To ensure a smooth registration process, candidates must have all necessary documentation prepared in advance. Required items include the AP PGECET 2026 rank card and hall ticket, GATE/GPAT scorecards, and academic mark sheets ranging from SSC to the qualifying degree. Additionally, candidates may need to provide specific certificates such as residency proof, community certificates, income certificates, and any applicable category-based documents like EWS, NCC, Sports, PwD, or CAP certificates.

The counselling process also categorizes courses based on eligibility for AICTE scholarships and tuition fee reimbursements. Candidates are advised to carefully review the fee types—labeled as RGS, RGN, SFS, and SFN—before exercising their web options. It is important to note that GATE/GPAT candidates are not eligible for state-provided tuition fee reimbursement, while AP PGECET rankers seeking admission to government institutions may be eligible for such financial support. All participants are encouraged to monitor the official portal for any further updates or procedural changes as the counselling phases progress.
