The Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Department is currently facilitating the phase I web-counselling process for AP PGECET 2026. Candidates who have successfully registered and are eligible for admission are now required to complete their web-option entry, a critical step in the seat allocation process. This phase allows qualified students to select their preferred courses and institutions, which will form the basis for the final seat allotment.

The window for exercising web-options opened on September 23 and is scheduled to remain active until September 29, 2026. Following this period, candidates will be granted a one-day window on September 30 to modify their choices if necessary. It is important to note that all options will be officially frozen at 10:00 p.m. on September 30, after which no further changes will be permitted. The authorities have advised candidates to carefully review their selections before finalizing them.

Counselling Schedule and Seat Allotment Details

For those who have not yet completed the initial requirements, the deadline for online registration and fee payment is September 27, 2026. Simultaneously, the online verification of uploaded certificates at designated helpline centres is ongoing and will conclude on September 28, 2026. Candidates are encouraged to monitor these deadlines closely to ensure their participation in the current round of counselling.

The seat allotment results are officially scheduled to be released on October 4, 2026, after 6:00 p.m. The allocation process will be determined by a combination of factors, including the candidate's merit rank, their category—such as SC, ST, BC, PWD, NCC, CAP, or sports quotas—and the specific preferences submitted during the web-option entry phase. Once the results are declared, candidates will be required to download their allotment letters to proceed with the self-reporting and college admission process, which is slated to take place between October 5 and October 8, 2026.

Instructions for Web-Option Entry

To participate in the choice-filling process, candidates must log in to the official counselling portal at cap.apcfss.in using their registration number, hall ticket, and date of birth. Upon successful login, a one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number for authentication. The department recommends that candidates select as many options as possible to maximize their chances of securing a seat.

After finalizing and saving their choices, candidates are advised to print a copy of their submitted options for their records. The counselling fee can be paid via various digital modes, including net banking, credit cards, debit cards, or UPI. Candidates should ensure they retain the transaction ID for any future correspondence regarding their application.
