Bihar Board 2028 Registration Deadline Extended to October 24; Check Details

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has extended the registration deadline for the Matric and Intermediate annual examinations for the 2027-28 academic session. Candidates now have until October 24 to submit their applications online, the BSEB chairman said.

Earlier, the last date to submit BSEB applications was set at October 9.

The extension will provide the schools and other educational institutions that previously failed to submit the applications within the stipulated timeframe with another opportunity to apply.

The application process needs to be completed by the heads of the respective institutions using the board’s official portals, by logging in with their user IDs and passwords.

The school authorities are requested to finish the registration on time, as the board may not offer another extension.

For the Intermediate annual examination 2028, schools can register students who missed out of Class 11 via the official website, intermediate.biharboardonline.com. Whereas, for the Matric annual examination 2028, institutions can register eligible Class 9 students through secondary.biharboardonline.org.

The application fee has to be deposited by October 23. “Schools can submit registration/permission applications for the specified students and deposit their fees up to October 23, 2026. However, the registration/permission applications of students whose fees have already been deposited will not be rejected during the online registration/permission application period up to October 24, 2026,” the notice stated.

“If a student's online registration/permission application is left incomplete despite the fee having been deposited, the school can complete the online registration/permission application from the next day, October 24, 2026, after the deadline for depositing the prescribed fee,” it added.

To confirm whether their names have been registered, students can contact their respective school authorities directly.
