CBSE Prepares for 2027 Board Exams: Webinar Held on Registration and LOC Procedures

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially commenced its preparatory phase for the 2027 board examinations. As the academic cycle progresses, the board is focusing on streamlining the administrative requirements for students appearing in the upcoming Class 10 and Class 12 assessments. While the official date sheet remains pending, the board is currently prioritizing the essential pre-examination procedures that form the foundation of the testing cycle.

To ensure these processes are handled with precision, the board recently hosted a live webinar titled “Relevance of Registration & LOC.” This session served as a platform for CBSE officials to provide direct guidance to school administrators regarding the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) and the registration of students in Classes 9 and 11. The initiative underscores the board’s commitment to maintaining accuracy in student records and subject combinations across its network of approximately 32,000 affiliated schools in India and abroad.

During the webinar, which was attended by over 450 principals and educators at the CBSE Integrated Office in Dwarka, officials emphasized the necessity of verifying student demographic details and subject selections. The Controller of Examinations delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the importance of error-free data submission, which is critical for the seamless generation of admit cards and the eventual conduct of the examinations. The session also included a live question-and-answer segment where board representatives addressed specific queries from school leaders regarding fee provisions, subject changes, and the implementation of special arrangements for Children with Special Needs (CWSN).

The board has advised schools to resolve any potential discrepancies in student data well in advance to avoid complications during the final stages of the examination process. By fostering transparency and providing clear instructions, the CBSE aims to simplify the registration and LOC submission workflows for all stakeholders involved.

While the board has not yet announced the specific dates for the 2027 examinations, historical trends suggest that the official date sheet for Classes 10 and 12 is likely to be released between December 2026 and January 2027. Although there is an expectation that the examinations will commence in February 2027, the board has cautioned students and parents to disregard any unofficial schedules or dates circulating on social media platforms.
