The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to announce the revised examination date for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026. This update follows the conclusion of a reopened registration window, which was provided to accommodate candidates following a recent Supreme Court judgment regarding Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualification requirements.

The examination, which was originally slated to take place on September 6, 2026, was postponed by the board to ensure that all eligible candidates had the necessary opportunity to meet statutory requirements. With the application portal now officially closed, students are awaiting formal notification regarding the new schedule for the assessment.

Details on Registration and Upcoming Exam Schedule

The decision to reopen the application process was implemented by the CBSE from August 25 to September 1, 2026. This window was specifically designed for eligible candidates who were unable to complete their registration during the initial phase. The board clarified that individuals who had already successfully submitted their applications during the first round were not required to re-register.

While anticipation regarding the new date is high, the CBSE has not yet issued an official announcement. Authorities have advised candidates to rely exclusively on the official examination portal for updates, cautioning against the circulation of unofficial dates or speculative information found online. Once the revised schedule is confirmed, the board is expected to provide further details regarding the examination city intimation slips and the subsequent release of admit cards.

Candidates who have completed their registration are encouraged to monitor the official website regularly. Information regarding the download process for admit cards will be made available only after the new examination date has been formally declared by the board. Until then, no further action is required from registered applicants other than staying informed through official channels.
