The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the schedule for practical examinations, project submissions, and internal assessments for the 2027 academic session. The notification, now available on the board's official website, provides clarity for both Class 10 and Class 12 students regarding the timeline for their upcoming practical evaluations.
To accommodate varying regional climates, the board has established two distinct schedules. Schools located in winter-bound regions, which typically experience closures during the peak of winter, will conduct their practical assessments earlier than the rest of the country. All other affiliated schools will follow a separate timeline for their internal evaluations.
According to the official notification, practical examinations for winter-bound schools are scheduled to take place from November 9, 2026, to December 19, 2026. For regular schools across India and abroad, the practical exams and internal assessments are slated to commence on January 1, 2027, and will continue through December 13, 2027.
The board has issued specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that all affiliated institutions are required to follow during this period. For Class 10 students, the board has emphasized that internal assessment grades will be recorded only once. Consequently, schools are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that all student marks are accurately registered and uploaded within the designated timeframe.
Students are advised to maintain close communication with their respective school administrators and class teachers to receive specific subject-wise timetables. Individual schools will determine the precise dates for laboratory sessions, project presentations, and viva voce examinations based on their internal batch requirements. As the schedule is now public, students are encouraged to use these dates to organize their final revision plans effectively.
