The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has officially opened the online option registration window for the first phase of the NEET PG 2026 counselling process. Candidates who have successfully qualified for the NEET PG examination and are featured on the state merit list are now eligible to participate in the choice-filling process for postgraduate medical admissions.

This phase is a critical step for students seeking admission into various MD and MS programs across the state. Participants are advised to access the official portal at cee.kerala.gov.in to register their preferences. The deadline for submitting these choices and completing the required security deposit is October 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Registration Guidelines and Security Deposits

To participate in the seat allocation process, candidates must log in to the candidate portal using their credentials. It is essential for applicants to exercise caution while selecting their preferred colleges and courses, as the final seat allotment will be determined based on a combination of the candidate's rank, their submitted preferences, and applicable reservation policies.

As part of the registration requirements, candidates are mandated to submit a security deposit. The fee structure for this deposit is set at INR 10,000 for general category candidates and INR 5,000 for those belonging to SC, ST, or OEC categories. While this deposit is refundable upon the conclusion of the counselling process, authorities have cautioned that forfeiting a seat allotted during the first round will result in the loss of eligibility for subsequent rounds of counselling.

Fee Structure for PG Medical Programs

The CEE has provided clarity regarding the annual fee schedules for MD and MS programs across various institutions in Kerala. For government medical colleges, the standard tuition fee is set at INR 57,890, though specialized institutions such as the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) in Thiruvananthapuram carry a fee of INR 3,00,000.

The fee structure for self-financing colleges varies significantly based on the nature of the course and the admission quota. Clinical courses in these institutions are priced at approximately INR 19,42,235 per year, while non-clinical courses are set at INR 11,79,215. Additionally, seats allocated under the NRI quota in self-financing colleges are subject to an annual fee of INR 40,81,014. Candidates are encouraged to review these financial details thoroughly before finalizing their options on the official website.
