Chandigarh University Opens CUCET 2027 Phase 1 Registration

Chandigarh University has officially commenced the registration process for the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2027. Prospective students interested in seeking admission to the university can now access the application forms for the Phase 1 examination, which are available in both online and offline formats.

While the university has opened the application window, it has not yet confirmed the final deadline for submitting forms for the Phase 1 cycle. Applicants are encouraged to monitor the official portal for updates regarding the closing date of the registration process.

Application Process and Examination Details

To register online, candidates must visit the official website at cucet.cuchd.in. The initial registration requires students to provide essential information, including their full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, city of residence, and their preferred academic discipline and programme. Once the preliminary registration is complete, candidates can log in to the portal to input their detailed personal, academic, and contact information.

For those opting for the offline route, application forms can be purchased from the university’s admission offices or designated authorised centres for a fee of INR 1000. These physical forms contain a unique identification number that must be entered into the online portal to complete the registration process.

The CUCET 2027 will be conducted as a remote, home-proctored examination. During the application process, candidates are required to select their preferred exam date and time slot. Because the test is administered remotely, students must ensure they have access to a laptop or personal computer equipped with a camera to participate. Following the successful submission of the application and payment of the fee—which can be processed online via net banking, credit cards, or debit cards—the university will send specific test details to the candidate's registered email address.

Scholarship Opportunities and Next Steps

The CUCET serves as a gateway for students to qualify for admission and potential tuition waivers of up to 100% at Chandigarh University. As the registration process is currently underway, the university is expected to announce the specific dates for the Phase 1 examination in due course. Candidates are advised to keep their login credentials secure and regularly check their registered email for official communications regarding their scheduled exam slots and further instructions from the university authorities.
