The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has issued a final reminder for candidates intending to appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2027. The online registration portal for both undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes is scheduled to close tomorrow, October 31, 2026.
Prospective students who have yet to complete their applications are advised to visit the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The portal will remain open for submissions until 11:59 PM, after which the application window will be shut. The Consortium has urged applicants to finalize their submissions well ahead of the deadline to avoid potential technical issues or last-minute complications.
The registration process requires candidates to provide accurate personal and academic information, upload necessary documentation, and complete the payment of the application fee. These steps are mandatory for all applicants seeking admission to the various law programmes offered by participating NLUs for the 2027–28 academic session.
For those applying to the undergraduate (UG) law programme, specific academic requirements must be met. Candidates from the General, OBC, and NRI categories are required to have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their Class 12 or equivalent board examinations. For applicants belonging to the SC and ST categories, the minimum qualifying score is set at 40%.
Following the conclusion of the registration process, the Consortium is set to conduct the CLAT 2027 examination on December 6, 2026. The test will be held in an offline, pen-and-paper format. Candidates should note that the examination is scheduled to take place from 2 PM to 4 PM. As the registration deadline nears, applicants are encouraged to review all details and instructions provided on the official website to ensure their applications are submitted correctly and without errors.
