Candidates participating in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) postgraduate counselling process have until the end of today, October 2, 2026, to finalize their preferences. The online window for ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 choice filling and document uploading is scheduled to close at 11:50 PM, marking a critical deadline for students seeking admission into various postgraduate programmes.
This current phase of the counselling process excludes veterinary streams as well as PhD programmes in agriculture and allied sciences. Eligible candidates are required to log in to the official ICAR counselling portal at icarcounseling.com to complete their submissions. It is essential for applicants to review their selected universities and courses carefully and lock their choices before the midnight deadline to ensure they are considered for the upcoming seat allotment process.
Following the conclusion of the choice filling window, the ICAR will proceed with the seat allocation process based on the merit of the candidates and the available seat matrix. The results for the first round of seat allotment are officially scheduled to be released on October 5, 2026, starting from 11:00 AM.
Once the seat allotment results are published, the admission process will move into the verification stage. Universities are set to conduct online document verification, which must be completed by October 6, 2026, at 11:50 PM. Should any issues arise regarding submitted documents, candidates will have until 11:50 AM on October 7, 2026, to complete the necessary resubmissions.
To participate in the process, candidates must log in using their registration credentials, complete the counselling registration, pay the required fees, and upload the necessary documentation. After selecting and arranging their preferred institutions and programmes, students are advised to double-check their entries before final submission. Successful candidates in the first round will subsequently need to address university queries, pay the seat acceptance fee, and secure their Provisional Admission Letter to finalize their enrollment.
