The K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) in Mumbai has officially opened its admission portal for the upcoming academic cycle. Candidates interested in pursuing management studies at the institution can now submit their applications for the two-year full-time MBA programme, as well as specialised courses in Healthcare Management, Sports Management, and Marketing Communications.

The application window is currently active, with the institute setting a final submission deadline of January 20, 2027. Prospective students are encouraged to complete their registrations through the official KJSIM admission portal to be considered for the 2026-28 batch.

Application Process and Eligibility Criteria

To apply, candidates must visit the official website at kjsim.somaiya.edu and complete the registration process. The application requires candidates to provide personal and academic details, select their preferred programme, and submit information regarding their entrance examination scores. Applicants are also required to pay the prescribed application fees to finalise their submission.

Regarding eligibility, the institute requires applicants to hold a graduation degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent. Students who are currently in their final year of graduation and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the institute's specific requirements at the time of admission.

Entrance Exams and Selection Procedure

For the 2026-28 admission cycle, KJSIM accepts scores from several national-level management entrance examinations, including CAT 2025, XAT 2026, GMAT, NMAT, and CMAT 2026. For those submitting NMAT scores, the institute will consider the best of two attempts. The selection process is multi-staged, beginning with merit-based and profile-based shortlisting of candidates based on their entrance test performance.

Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next phase of the selection process, which includes a Problem Situation Analysis (PSA), a Personal Interview (PI), and a Written Ability Test (WAT). While the general MBA programme has an intake capacity of 600 seats, the specialised management programmes operate with separate intake limits. Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal for further updates regarding the selection schedule.
