Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially launched the online submission process for the December 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE) theory course forms. This facility is now accessible to all eligible students enrolled in the university's Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes.
To participate in the upcoming examinations, learners are required to complete their registration through the official Samarth portal. The university has structured the application process into two distinct windows, with the initial period allowing students to submit their forms without incurring any additional late charges.
For students aiming to avoid extra costs, the deadline to submit the examination form is September 30, 2026. During this first window, the examination fee is set at INR 200 per theory course. Candidates who are unable to meet this initial deadline may still submit their applications during the second window, which runs from October 1 to October 15, 2026. However, applications submitted during this extended period will incur a late fee of INR 1,100 in addition to the standard examination fee of INR 200 per course.
When navigating the Samarth portal, students must carefully select their preferred examination centre and verify that they are only registering for courses for which they are eligible. The university has emphasised the importance of reviewing all entered information thoroughly before final submission to prevent any administrative complications or errors that could impact the examination process.
Before proceeding with the online form, learners must ensure they satisfy all necessary prerequisites for the December TEE. This includes maintaining a valid registration, fulfilling the minimum study duration required for their specific programme, and ensuring that all mandatory assignments have been submitted as prescribed by the university guidelines.
University officials have advised students to complete the submission process well in advance of the final deadlines to mitigate the risk of encountering technical difficulties or portal congestion. It is also recommended that students retain a digital or physical copy of their submitted examination form and the corresponding payment confirmation for their personal records. This current schedule for form submission applies exclusively to theory courses for the December 2026 examination cycle.
