Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially launched its Online Project Management System (OPMS) to streamline the submission process for academic reports. This new digital facility is specifically intended for students preparing to submit their project reports, dissertations, internship reports, fieldwork reports, and practicum work for the upcoming Term-End Examination (TEE) scheduled for December 2026.
The introduction of this portal marks a significant shift in how the university manages student submissions for its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes. By centralising the process through the OPMS, the university aims to provide a more efficient and accessible platform for learners to submit their mandatory academic requirements ahead of the examination cycle.
According to the official notification released by the university, the deadline for submitting all project-related documents through the portal is November 30, 2026. Students are strongly encouraged to complete their submissions well in advance of this date to mitigate the risk of encountering technical difficulties or system congestion that often occurs as deadlines approach.
To access the submission facility, eligible learners must log in using their existing IGNOU Samarth credentials via the official portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in/index.php/site/login. Once logged in, students are required to follow the specific instructions and guidelines provided on the platform to ensure their documents are uploaded correctly and meet the university's academic standards.
The university has provided a crucial clarification for students who have already taken steps to submit their work. Learners who have previously submitted hard copies of their project reports, dissertations, or fieldwork documentation to their respective Regional Centres or the Student Evaluation Division (SED) at the university’s headquarters in New Delhi are exempt from this new requirement. These students do not need to upload soft copies of their work through the OPMS portal.
For all other eligible students, it is essential to review the detailed submission guidelines available on the portal before initiating the upload process. Ensuring that all reports are complete and adhere to the university's prescribed format is necessary for a successful submission. Students should monitor the official IGNOU website for any further updates or additional instructions regarding the December 2026 TEE project submission process.
