Prospective students aiming to pursue Master of Design (MDes) or PhD programmes at participating design institutions must submit their applications through the official portal at ceed.iitb.ac.in by October 31, 2026.
Completing the registration within the stipulated timeframe is a mandatory requirement for candidates to remain eligible for the upcoming examination. IIT Bombay has confirmed that the national-level entrance test is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 17, 2027, with the examination window set from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM across various test cities throughout India.
The application fee for CEED 2027 is structured based on candidate categories. For female applicants, as well as those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the registration fee is set at INR 2,000. For all other candidates, the fee is INR 4,000. Applicants who miss the primary deadline of October 31, 2026, are provided a grace period; however, they will be required to pay an additional late fee of INR 500, with the final extended deadline set for November 6, 2026.
To be eligible for the entrance examination, candidates must meet specific academic requirements.
