While the registration window is slated to open in early October, IIT Bombay has already confirmed the date for the examination itself. The CEED 2027 test is scheduled to be held on January 17, 2027. This annual assessment serves as a gateway for admission into various prestigious design programmes across several participating institutions in India.
The CEED 2027 examination will be conducted in a single session with a total duration of three hours. The test is designed to evaluate the design aptitude of candidates, and it will be administered across approximately 27 test cities nationwide. Comprehensive details regarding the specific exam pattern, the updated syllabus, and other critical timelines are expected to be released by the conducting body on October 1, 2026, coinciding with the start of the application process.
The CEED score is accepted by a wide range of premier institutions for their M.Des programmes. The list of participating and result-sharing institutes includes IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Gandhinagar. Additionally, the examination is recognised by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, as well as IIITDM Jabalpur and IIITDM Kancheepuram. Candidates are encouraged to monitor the official website regularly for the formal notification and further instructions on the registration procedure.
