IIT Bombay to Open UCEED 2027 Registration Process in October

Prospective students aiming to pursue a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree at participating Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and various result-sharing institutions should prepare for the upcoming UCEED 2027 application cycle. IIT Bombay, the organizing body for the entrance examination, is expected to open the official registration window on October 1, 2026.

This upcoming phase marks the beginning of the formal admission process for the 2027 academic session. Candidates planning to participate in the entrance test are advised to monitor the official portal closely, as comprehensive details regarding the application procedure, examination pattern, and updated syllabus are scheduled to be released concurrently with the start of the registration period.

Examination Schedule and Application Details

The entrance examination itself has already been confirmed by IIT Bombay and is set to take place on January 17, 2027. On this date, candidates will sit for the test at their designated examination centres. It is essential for all applicants to review the official eligibility criteria thoroughly before submitting their forms to ensure their qualifications align with the requirements set by the participating institutions.

Regarding the financial aspect of the application, the registration fee is expected to be structured based on candidate categories. For female candidates, as well as those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the application fee is anticipated to be INR 2,000. For all other candidates, the fee is expected to be set at INR 4,000.
