The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is set to conclude the extended registration window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 on October 22, 2026. This extension serves as a final opportunity for prospective candidates who have not yet submitted their applications to participate in the upcoming entrance examination.
Candidates intending to appear for the test are encouraged to finalize their submissions through the official website at jam.iitkgp.ac.in before the deadline expires. It is essential for applicants to ensure that all personal and academic information is entered accurately, as errors may impact the processing of their candidature.
To register for the examination, candidates must first visit the official JAM 2027 portal. Those who have not previously registered are required to create an account using their credentials. Once registered, applicants can log in using their enrollment ID or email address and password to fill out the application form, which includes providing academic qualifications and selecting preferred examination papers.
The application process also requires the uploading of a photograph, signature, and other necessary supporting documents. Following the data entry, candidates must pay the application fee, which varies based on the applicant's category and the number of test papers selected. For female candidates, as well as those belonging to SC, ST, or PwD categories, the fee is INR 1,000 for one test paper and INR 1,350 for two test papers. For all other categories, the fee is set at INR 2,000 for one paper and INR 2,700 for two papers. Applicants are advised to verify these amounts against the official information brochure before proceeding with the payment.
After completing the payment, candidates should thoroughly review all information entered in the application form to ensure its accuracy. Once the form is submitted, it is highly recommended that applicants download or print the confirmation page and retain a copy of the payment receipt for their records. Those who have already submitted their applications are advised to double-check their status to confirm that all mandatory fields have been completed and that the payment has been processed successfully.
