The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the mock seat allotment results for the second round of the Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET) counseling for the academic year 2026. This announcement allows candidates who registered and submitted their college preferences to view their mock allotment status on the official KEA portal. The results were made available as part of the ongoing counseling process for courses in Engineering, Architecture, and Farm Science.

In conjunction with the mock results, KEA has opened an option modification window, which will remain accessible until August 20, 2026, at 9:00 AM. During this period, candidates can add new college choices, delete existing ones, or rearrange their preferences based on the mock allotment results. This flexibility is intended to help students refine their selections before the final allotment process begins.

Following the closure of the option entry window, KEA is set to release the Provisional Round 2 Allotment Results on August 19, 2026. H. Prasanna, IAS, Executive Director of KEA, emphasized that the mock results serve as a trial run to assist students in understanding their admission probabilities based on current merit and trends. He clarified that these results are indicative and that candidates should not report to any allotted colleges or seek physical admission at this stage.

Prasanna further advised candidates to carefully analyze the mock cut-off ranks and utilize the remaining time effectively to optimize their option entry strategy. This preparation is crucial as the portal will lock permanently for this round after the modification window closes. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to enhance their chances of securing a favorable college placement.

As the counseling process progresses, candidates are urged to stay informed about the latest updates regarding exam results, dates, admit cards, and other relevant educational news. The KEA's structured approach aims to facilitate a smooth admission process for students navigating their higher education options in Karnataka.
