The K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) has achieved a notable milestone in the latest QS Asia MBA Rankings 2027, securing the 51st position across the continent. This latest assessment highlights the institution's ongoing efforts to enhance its academic standing and regional influence among prominent business schools.

In addition to its regional success, the institute has been placed in the 301+ category in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027. This performance marks a slight improvement from the previous academic cycle, where the institute held the 52nd position in the Asian rankings. The QS rankings evaluate institutions based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including alumni outcomes, entrepreneurship, return on investment, diversity, and the overall value proposition of their MBA programmes.

Institutional Performance and Academic Focus

Reflecting on the achievement, Dr. Raman Ramachandran, Director and Dean of K J Somaiya Institute of Management, attributed the improved ranking to the collaborative dedication of the faculty, students, and alumni. He reaffirmed the institute's commitment to maintaining a rigorous academic foundation while integrating experiential learning opportunities into the curriculum. The institute, which holds AACSB accreditation, is currently recognised as one of the top 10 business schools in India.

The academic approach at KJSIM emphasises personal transformation and responsible professionalism. Alongside its academic rankings, the institute reported strong placement outcomes for the 2024-26 batch. According to official data, the batch achieved an overall placement rate of 97%, with 586 out of 603 students securing job offers. Financial metrics for the cohort showed a peak domestic salary of ₹29.30 lakh per annum. Furthermore, the top 10% of the batch secured an average salary of ₹19.94 lakh, with the top 20% and 30% earning average salaries of ₹17.85 lakh and ₹16.86 lakh, respectively.
