Maharashtra CET Cell to Release Tentative MHT CET 2027 Exam Schedule Next Week

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is preparing to release the tentative examination schedule for the 2027 academic year. Students and stakeholders can expect the official announcement regarding the MHT CET 2027 dates to be published sometime next week. This upcoming notification will provide clarity on the timeline for various state-level entrance examinations, including those for undergraduate and professional courses.

The release of this schedule is highly anticipated by candidates preparing for engineering and pharmacy admissions across the state. Once announced, the tentative dates will be available for public viewing on the official website of the State CET Cell. This calendar is intended to help students plan their preparation effectively for both the PCM and PCB groups.

Revised Exam Strategy and Scheduling Updates

In a significant shift from earlier plans, the State CET Cell has decided to restructure the examination timeline. Previously, there were considerations to hold the first attempt of the MHT CET 2027 in December 2026. However, following extensive feedback from parents, educators, and counsellors, authorities have confirmed that the December session will not take place. Instead, both attempts for the entrance test are now scheduled to be conducted within the window of March to May 2027.

This adjustment is expected to provide Class 12 students with a more balanced academic calendar, allowing them sufficient time to focus on their board examinations before shifting their attention to the state-level entrance tests. The two sessions will be held with a gap of approximately four weeks between them. As per the established admission policy, the higher score achieved by a candidate across these two attempts will be utilized for the final admission process.

Next Steps for MHT CET 2027 Aspirants

While the examination schedule is expected to be released next week, students are also awaiting an official update regarding the registration process. The State CET Cell has indicated that registration dates will be announced following the publication of the comprehensive examination calendar. Candidates are advised to monitor the official portal regularly for the latest notifications.

The MHT CET remains the primary gateway for admission into various engineering and pharmacy programs offered by participating institutions throughout Maharashtra. By consolidating the exam sessions into the March-to-May period, the authorities aim to streamline the testing process for thousands of applicants across the state.
