The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially initiated the choice filling process for the NEET UG 2026 counselling cycle. Eligible candidates who are participating in the state-level admission process can now log in to the official portal to submit their preferred course and college selections.

This phase is a critical component of the admission procedure for medical and dental aspirants across Maharashtra. Participants are encouraged to review the available options carefully and complete the choice locking process within the specified timeframe to ensure their preferences are recorded for the upcoming seat allotment rounds.

Steps for Choice Filling and Required Documentation

To participate in the choice filling process, candidates must visit the official website of the Maharashtra State CET Cell. The process requires students to log in using their credentials and systematically select their preferred institutions and courses. It is essential for candidates to verify their selections before finalizing the choice locking, as this determines their eligibility for seat allocation in the participating MBBS and BDS colleges.

In preparation for the broader counselling procedure, candidates should ensure they have all necessary documentation readily available. The required documents include the NEET UG 2026 admit card, the application form confirmation page, and the official NEET 2026 scorecard. Additionally, students must provide proof of identity and academic qualifications, such as their Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and pass certificates. Depending on the candidate's category or specific status, additional documents such as a domicile certificate, caste certificate, caste validity certificate, orphan certificate, or specific defence personnel documentation may be required. Proof of nationality, such as a valid Indian passport, school leaving certificate, or a certificate issued by the District Magistrate, is also mandatory.

Seat Allotment and Reporting Schedule

Following the conclusion of the choice filling phase, the Maharashtra State CET Cell will release the seat allotment results in a PDF format. Once the results are published, candidates who are assigned a seat must complete the reporting process at their designated institutions. The official schedule mandates that candidates report to their allotted colleges between August 24 and August 28, 2026. The final deadline for completing the joining process is August 28, 2026. Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to these dates to secure their admission.
