MH CET Law 2026: Registration for 3-Year LLB Institutional Round Closes Today

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is set to conclude the registration process for the institutional level round of the 3-Year LLB counselling process today, September 29, 2026. This final phase allows candidates to apply for remaining seats in law colleges across the state, marking a critical step for students seeking admission to the three-year undergraduate law programme for the 2026 academic session.

Candidates participating in this round are required to access the official portal at cetcell.mahacet.org to complete their registration, update their application forms, and submit fresh college preferences. It is important to note that any college choices submitted during previous Centralised Admission Process (CAP) rounds will not be carried forward or considered for this institutional level round. Consequently, all applicants must submit new preferences to be eligible for the merit list.

Important Dates and Admission Process

Following the closure of the registration window, the admission process will move to the merit list stage. Colleges are scheduled to generate the online merit list through the CAP portal on October 1, 2026. On the same day, these institutions will publish the merit list on their respective notice boards and official websites, ensuring transparency for all applicants.

Once the merit lists are declared, the window for candidates to secure their admission will open. The designated period for candidates to report to their allotted institutes and for colleges to confirm admissions through their official logins is scheduled from October 3 to October 6, 2026. Applicants are advised to monitor the official portal closely during this period to ensure they meet the necessary deadlines for document verification and seat confirmation.

To participate in this round, candidates must log in to the LLB 3-Year CAP 2026 admission portal using their existing credentials. Those who have previously participated in earlier rounds are strongly encouraged to verify their current admission status before proceeding with the institutional level application. The process involves logging in, editing the application form if necessary, selecting new college options, and verifying all details before final submission.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell conducts this state-level entrance examination to facilitate admissions into law programmes across the state. The 3-year LLB course currently encompasses approximately 16,420 seats, excluding management quota intake.
