The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 has officially released the seat allotment results for the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round 2. Candidates can access their allotment letters by visiting the official website at fe2026.mahacet.org. To download the letter, students will need to provide their application number and date of birth. The allotment letter contains crucial information, including the candidate's details, the name of the allotted institute, the specific branch, and instructions for reporting.
It is imperative for candidates to download their allotment letters and pay the seat confirmation fee before the specified deadline to secure their seats. Failure to complete these steps by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of their claim to the allotted seat. To check their allotment status, candidates should navigate to the MHT CET CAP portal, click on the CAP Round 2 seat allotment link, and log in using their credentials. The allotment status will then be displayed on the screen.
For those who have been allotted a seat in Round 2, the next phase of the admission process must be completed between August 13 and August 17, 2026. This phase includes selecting the appropriate seat acceptance option, paying the acceptance fee, and undergoing document verification at the designated institute. Candidates who are dissatisfied with their allotment should review the available options for freezing, floating, or sliding to a better choice before making any decisions.
Students are advised to keep their allotment letters and necessary documents readily available to prevent any delays during the admission process. Additionally, the round-wise cutoff ranks for MHT CET counselling can be accessed on the counselling website, where candidates can find the cutoff information for all participating institutes and branches.
For candidates who did not apply for or take the MHT CET, there is still an opportunity to participate in the counselling process based on their JEE Main scores. Those without either MHT CET or JEE Main scores may also be eligible to participate based on their Class 12 marks. The MHT CET 2026 counselling is being conducted in four rounds by the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell, ensuring a comprehensive admission process for prospective students.
