The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, is set to close the registration window for the NEET UG 2026 mop-up round counselling today, October 2. Candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the state quota are required to complete their registration process through the official portal by 11:59 PM.

This phase of the counselling process is critical for students aiming to secure remaining seats in medical and dental colleges across the state. Officials have clarified that candidates who have already registered for the state counselling process in previous rounds are not required to register again.

Key Dates and Upcoming Counselling Stages

Following the conclusion of the registration period, the DME will publish the revised state merit list on October 3, 2026. Along with the merit list, the authority will also release the updated vacancy position, which will provide clarity on the number of seats available for the mop-up round. Only those candidates whose names appear on this revised merit list will be eligible to proceed to the subsequent stages of the admission process.

Once the merit list is published, the process of choice filling and locking will commence. Eligible candidates are required to complete fresh choice filling between October 4 and October 7, 2026. It is mandatory for all participants in this round to complete the choice-filling process to be considered for seat allotment.

Registration Procedure for Candidates

To participate in the mop-up round, eligible candidates must visit the official website at dme.mponline.gov.in. Once on the portal, applicants should navigate to the MP NEET UG 2026 counselling section and select the link for mop-up round registration. Candidates will need to either create a new profile or log in using their existing NEET UG 2026 credentials.

During the registration process, applicants must provide accurate personal, academic, and counselling details. After entering the necessary information, candidates are required to pay the registration fee to finalize their application. It is recommended that all applicants save or print a copy of their submitted application form for future reference. The DME will provide further updates regarding seat allotment and reporting schedules following the completion of the choice-filling phase.
