The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education (CME) in Bhopal has officially released the schedule for the stray vacancy round of the Madhya Pradesh NEET UG counselling for 2026. This final phase of the admission process is designed to fill remaining MBBS and BDS seats across the state, providing a last opportunity for qualified candidates to secure a medical or dental seat.

Students participating in this round are required to navigate the official portal at dme.mponline.gov.in to access the list of available vacancies and the roster of eligible candidates. The counselling authorities have confirmed that this entire process will be conducted online, requiring candidates to adhere strictly to the stipulated timeline to ensure their participation in the seat allocation.

Key Dates and Choice Filling Process

According to the official notification, the publication of the vacancy list took place on October 21, 2026. Candidates are now in the active window for choice filling and locking, which remains open until 11:59 PM on October 22, 2026. Following the conclusion of the choice-filling process, the reporting period for students who are allotted seats at their respective colleges is scheduled for October 23 to October 24, 2026.

The stray vacancy round operates as a live, dynamic process. Once students log in to the portal to select their preferred colleges, the system displays a live list of the top 10 highest-ranked applicants for each specific vacant seat. Candidates whose names appear on these lists are required to perform an online attendance check to confirm their interest in the seat. The final seat allotment is then determined by the colleges, which consider only those students who have successfully completed the online attendance, prioritizing those with the highest ranks until all available positions are filled.
