NEET MDS Counselling 2026: Round 1 Reporting Process Commences

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the reporting process for the first round of NEET MDS counselling 2026. Following the release of the final seat allotment results on September 2, 2026, students who have been successfully allocated seats are now required to proceed to their designated dental institutes to finalise their admissions.

A total of 1,521 candidates were allotted seats during this initial round. To ensure a smooth transition into their postgraduate dental programmes, candidates are advised to complete the necessary reporting procedures well before the deadline of September 11, 2026. Authorities have cautioned against waiting until the final day, as institutions require sufficient time to conduct thorough document verification, process fee payments, and complete mandatory administrative formalities.

Essential Steps and Documentation for NEET MDS Reporting

To secure their admission, candidates must first download their official seat allotment letter from the MCC website. Upon arriving at their allotted dental college, students are required to present both original documents and photocopies for verification. The admission process is only considered complete once the college fee has been paid and the institute has issued a formal confirmation of the candidate's admission.

Candidates should ensure they have the following documents prepared for the reporting process: the NEET MDS 2026 admit card, the scorecard or rank letter, the MCC-issued seat allotment letter, and a valid government-approved photo identification. Additionally, academic and professional credentials must be provided, including the BDS degree certificate, BDS marksheets, the internship completion certificate, and the relevant dental council registration certificate. Proof of date of birth, category certificates, and PwD certificates, if applicable, must also be submitted alongside recent passport-sized photographs.
