The National Institute of Design (NID) has officially commenced the registration process for the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2027. The deadline for submitting the NID DAT 2027 application form is November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Following this date, the registration portal will be closed to further entries. Application Fees and Correction Window Details

The application fee structure for NID DAT 2027 varies based on the candidate's category. For applicants in the General, General-EWS, and OBC-NCL categories, the fee is set at INR 3,000. Candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories are required to pay INR 1,500, while the fee for PwD candidates and the third gender is INR 500.

Once the initial application period concludes, the institute will provide an edit window starting December 1, 2026. During this period, candidates may modify most of the information provided in their application forms. However, certain critical details—specifically the program applied for, the candidate's name, date of birth, registered mobile number, and registered email address—cannot be altered. Furthermore, if a candidate chooses to update their category or gender during this window, they will be required to pay any applicable additional fees.

To ensure a smooth application process, candidates must have all necessary documents ready for upload. All applicants are required to provide a photograph and a signature. Those applying under reserved categories must also upload relevant supporting certificates, such as caste, tribe, or disability certificates, as well as EWS or OBC-NCL documentation where applicable. Overseas candidates are required to submit the first and last pages of their passports.
