The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has issued a reminder to all law aspirants that the registration window for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2027 is approaching its conclusion. Candidates intending to sit for this national-level entrance examination must submit their completed application forms by the official deadline of November 10, 2026.

University officials have advised applicants to complete the registration process well in advance of the final date. Submitting applications early helps mitigate the risk of last-minute technical complications, such as payment gateway failures or errors in data entry, which can occur when the portal experiences high traffic. It is recommended that candidates have all necessary identification, certificates, and scanned documents prepared before initiating the online application process.

Application Details and Examination Schedule

The application portal for AILET 2027 is currently live on the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Interested students can apply for the BA LLB (Hons) program or the one-year LLM course through this platform. The university has confirmed that the entrance examination is scheduled to take place on December 13, 2026.

Regarding the application fees, the university has established a tiered structure based on candidate categories. General, OBC, and EWS candidates are required to pay a fee of INR 3,000. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is set at INR 1,000. Candidates belonging to the BPL category within the SC and ST groups are exempt from the application fee. Once the November 10 deadline passes, the university will not accept any further submissions.

Admissions and Preparation

NLU Delhi has allocated 110 seats for the BA LLB program and 70 seats for the LLM program, with admission determined by merit in the AILET examination. To ensure a smooth registration process, candidates should have a recent photograph and a scanned signature ready for upload. While the university has not provided specific study materials, students often utilize resources such as comprehensive law entrance guides and chapter-wise solved papers to assist in their preparation for the exam, which typically features sections on English, Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge.
